Thoroughly Thankfully Talented

Authors and illustrators gathered at Bank Street Book Store on Saturday, November 26 to read, sign, and share during Indies First, a celebration of children's books. These fellow bookworms were as generous with their time as they are with their talent, and we had a terrific time hosting them. Here's a group photo of everyone (basically from left to right): Eric Velasquez, Dan Gutman, Ame Dyckman, Vin Vogel, Leslie Martini, Jessica Olien, Emily Arnold McCully, Julie Fogliano, Beth Ferry, Steve Light, and George O'Connor. Thank you, friends -- and keep up the great work!

"Good Morning, City" by NY1's Pat Kiernan

Event date:
Saturday, December 3, 2016 - 10:30am to 11:30am

Wake up to great news! NY1's morning anchor Pat Kiernan has written a children's book for families across the city -- and around the world. "Good Morning, City," illustrated by Pascal Campion, is a delightful way to learn about how a bustling metropolis awakens each day -- from the busy baker to the ferry boat captain to the early news reporter (like Pat!). Pat reads and signs his book on Saturday, December 3 at 10:30 a.m. at Bank Street College, 610 West 112th Street. The event is sponsored by Bank Street Book Store and the New York Foundling, one of the city's oldest and largest children's charities.
