Shop Locally at Bank Street Book Store on Small Business Saturday and Indies First, November 25

Independent booksellers across the country, including Bank Street Book Store, are great places to shop on Saturday, November 25. On this day, two occasions are combined: Small Business Saturday and Indies First. Customers find outstanding titles, neighbors support their communities, and local retailers succeed in selling to readers who can never get (or give) too many good books. Special guests helping us celebrate a terrific event include musician/songwriter Esther Crow and authors Dan Gutman, Chris Grabenstein, and Renée Watson. Join us for a day of singing, signing, and lots of fun. Activities start at 10:30 a.m. with music and songs and continue with author readings through 2:30 p.m.

Giving Thanks

There are many ways -- and countless reasons -- to say thank you. Since this season recognizes how and why we acknowledge gratitude, Bank Street Book Store suggests expressing the giving spirit through books families can read, share, and enjoy together. They rework traditional themes of giving to create indelible words and images about ourselves, each other, and the precious moments we come together in thanks.
