Authors Karina Yan Glaser and Rachel Vail at Bank Street Book Store for an Authors Guild and American Booksellers Association Event

Bank Street Book Store is delighted to announce a reading-discussion on Sunday, October 29 at 1:00 p.m. featuring authors Karina Yan Glaser and Rachel Vail. This special event, part of a series co-hosted by the Authors Guild and the American Booksellers Association, highlights Karina's debut novel for middle-grade readers "The Vanderbeekers of 141st Street." The authors encourage participation from audience members as they discuss Karina's new book as well as Rachel's books "Unfriended" and "Well, That Was Awkward." All three of these terrific titles contain relatable scenes and characters young readers understand and appreciate so join the conversation and the fun at 2780 Broadway.

BookFest at Bank Street!

BookFest, an annual fall celebration of books for kids and teens takes place Saturday, October 28 at Tabas Auditorium at Bank Street College, 610 West 112th Street. This day-long event for adults features authors, illustrators, and publishing experts who share their experience and knowledge with all who attend. The day begins at 9:00 a.m. and continues through 4:00 p.m. with whole-group and breakout sessions throughout the day. Book discussions and book signings are also on schedule as well as the opportunity to understand specific topics and genres for young readers from many perspectives, including from the inside. Creative Conversation with Authors Nikki Grimes and Andrea Pinkney

On Tuesday, October 24 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., readers and writers gather at the Langston Hughes House, 20 East 127th Street, for a special event featuring Andrea Davis Pinkney and Nikki Grimes and their outstanding books for children.
