Author Doreen Rappaport appears at Bank Street Book Store on Sunday, October 1 to read from her new book "42 Is Not Just a Number: The Odyssey of Jackie Robinson, American Hero" and discuss what she learned while researching Robinson's life and times. Writing Traditions Continue at Langston Hughes House

New York's Langston Hughes House in Harlem continues to draw people to its salon with literacy events that invite thoughtful conversations featuring outstanding contemporary writers. On Wednesday, September 27 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. the I, Too, Arts Collective features authors Tracey Baptiste and Ibi Zoboi in presenting their books for young readers.
