"42 Is Not Just a Number" by Doreen Rappaport

As October begins and the baseball season leads into the games of the 2017 World Series, it is an especially apt time to think about the players whose talents will never diminish. At the top of that list is Jackie Robinson. Robinson's life is chronicled in a new book for kids that tells his story with the admiration he deserves. Author Doreen Rappaport appears at Bank Street Book Store on Sunday, October 1 to read from her new book "42 Is Not Just a Number: The Odyssey of Jackie Robinson, American Hero" and discuss what she learned while researching Robinson's life and times. Join us at 2:00 p.m. at 2780 Broadway.
