Young Musicians Survival Guide Concert with Amy Nathan

Kids rock Mozart, Gossec, traditional folk tunes and jazz standards at Bank Street Bookstore on November 30, 2014.

Author Amy Nathan organized the recital, featuring musicians attending First through Seventh Grade at NYC music schools, to celebrate the release of The Music Parents Survival Guide, the companion book to her Young Musicians Survival Guide, already in its second edition. In this video: Amy Nathan, Helena Steger, Eliot Flowers, Gretchen Kamm, Alma Wosner, Jonah Kreitner.

"Big Snow" Puppet Show with Jonathan Bean

Author and illustrator Jonathan Bean visits the Yippee Skippy Puppet Theater for a whole lot of winter fun! Jonathan gets some holiday gifts from Ninja Monkey and Mousey, reads his picture book "Big Snow" and creates a winter wonderland with help from the audience.

Meanwhile, a wily Frogherd makes false accusations against a wolf who definitely does not eat frogs. But what, or possibly whom, might the wolf eat instead?

Improvised Saturday, December 21 at Bank Street Bookstore. Camera by Nere Kapitani.
