"Good Morning, City" by NY1's Pat Kiernan

Event date:
Saturday, December 3, 2016 - 10:30am to 11:30am

Wake up to great news! NY1's morning anchor Pat Kiernan has written a children's book for families across the city -- and around the world. "Good Morning, City," illustrated by Pascal Campion, is a delightful way to learn about how a bustling metropolis awakens each day -- from the busy baker to the ferry boat captain to the early news reporter (like Pat!). Pat reads and signs his book on Saturday, December 3 at 10:30 a.m. at Bank Street College, 610 West 112th Street. The event is sponsored by Bank Street Book Store and the New York Foundling, one of the city's oldest and largest children's charities.

"Danes Are Great" Reading and Activities with Author Victor Joseph

Event date:
Saturday, February 1, 2014 - 10:30am

After hearing author Victor Joseph read his delightful tale of the adventures of Brando and Kruger, two regal but irresistible dogs, you, too, will indeed agree that danes are great! Victor will read the first in his series of five books about this energetic duo.

"Danes Are Great!" is the creation of Brando and Kruger's caretaker Victor Joseph, who lives and romps with them on Long Island where, as you can imagine, adventures abound. After the reading, children are invited to color their own pictures of Brando and Kruger. Profits from the sale of "Danes Are Great!" will benefit three charitable organizations, including Bideawee, Reading to Kids, and Reach Out and Read.
