"Taking Your Child to the Doctor" with Patricia Weiner

To celebrate the release of her book "Taking Your Child to the Doctor or the Hospital," Bank Street Bookstore hosts child life specialist Patricia Weiner on Thursday evening, April 10. Patty holds a master's degree in special education and has many years of experience teaching, training, and supporting infants, young children, parents, and medical professionals. As the founding director of the master's degree program in child life at Bank Street College of Education, Patty has an experienced perspective to show and share.

"Taking Your Child to the Doctor or the Hospital" is filled with helpful suggestions and practical tips to provide parents with the tools they need so they can prepare young children for a visit to the doctor or hospital.

Developmentally Appropriate Play Workshops with Educational Consultant Patty Weiner

After the book is released, Patty will lead several play workshops at the book store (dates to be announced) for guiding and supporting children as they learn to play and interact with each other successfully. Watch for more details to come!
