Angus is a small black puppy who is very curious. He is curious about things in the house (like the small black puppy in the mirror) and things outdoors (like the cat he can't reach because of his leash). "But Angus was most curious of all about a NOISE which came from the OTHER SIDE of the large green hedge at the end of the garden. The noise usually sounded like this: Quack! Quack! Quackety! Quack!" When Angus finds himself outside without a leash, he quickly goes to investigate the intriguing noise and finds that one small black puppy is no match for two angry ducks. The utterly charming story and illustrations have been delighting readers for over 75 years.
