"Whoosh" Over to Bank Street Bookstore for a Reading by Author Chris Barton

"Whoosh! Lonnie Johnson's Super-Soaking Stream of Inventions" is the story of the man who created what has become one of the world's top-selling toys. Learn about Lonnie Johnson, a passionate engineer who took an idea and saw it through until the Super Soaker water gun was a reality in the hands of fun-loving kids everywhere. Author Chris Barton joins us at Bank Street Bookstore on Saturday, March 10 for a reading and a behind-the-scenes description of how Lonnie's invention has made such a huge splash. Join us at 10:30 a.m. at 2780 Broadway.

It's Shakespeare Saturday at Bank Street Bookstore on March 3 at 10:30 a.m. Join us to see and experience "Pop-Up Shakespeare" with authors (and actors!) Reed Martin and Austin Tichenor. Catch this dynamic duo before they race off to New Victory Theater for a performance by the Reduced Shakespeare Company. The bookstore is located at 2780 Broadway at West 107th Street. This event is free of charge and reservations are not required.
