Being Yourself and Playing Your Own Way

Story time at Bank Street Bookstore on Saturday, June 23 at 10:30 a.m. features author Afsaneh Moradian and her book "Jamie Is Jamie." This book emphasizes the importance of the freedom to play as a means of expressing who you are. Join us for an author reading that helps present gender identify in sensitive and heartfelt ways. Whether kids dress dolls, don superhero masks, fix bicycles, or make dinner, this book shows how different roles feel for different kids as they play at home and at school. Join us at 2780 Broadway to celebrate a month of pride in New York and around the world.
