Bank Street College's 18th annual language series takes place Saturday, November 11 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at 610 West 112th Street. This year's theme is "Multiliteracies: Exploring Multimodal Pedogogies for Academic Success," providing an opportunity to explore language and communication through education. Barbara Biber Convocation 2017 Featuring Dr. David J. Connor

One of the main events at Bank Street Graduate School of Education every fall is the annual Barbara Biber Convocation, an opportunity to welcome incoming graduate students to the program. This year's special guest speaker is Dr. David J. Connor, professor of special education/learning disabilities at the City University of New York, Hunter College. Dr. Connor presents "Stories from a Life in Teaching and Learning," sharing his experiences to inspire understanding in education. Guest Speaker Dr. Sharon Ryan at Niemeyer Lecture Series
