Graduate School of Education Open House

Bank Street College of Education holds its first open house of the new year on Wednesday, January 4 from 5:15 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Learn about the wide range of master's programs available, including leadership and teacher prep, while meeting faculty, staff, and students. Continuity in Children's Worlds

Join Bank Street College alumna Rachel Theilheimer and her co-authors at the launch of their new book "Continuity in Children’s Worlds: Choices and Consequences for Early Childhood Programs." This book identifies the importance of helping young children make successful transitions both at school and at home. The event takes place Monday, November 21 at 7:00 p.m. at Bank Street College, 610 West 112th Street. Copies of the book will be available for purchase through Bank Street Book Store. Seeing Is Believing: Author Wendy Rosen Introduces Her Book "The Hidden Link Between Vision and Learning"

Vision is more than meets the eye, especially when young learners are concerned. The sense of sight is critical to the learning process and impacts long-term school success in many important ways, says author Wendy Rosen. Wendy shares her research and her book "The Hidden Link Between Vision and Learning: Why Millions of Learning-Disabled Children Are Misdiagnosed" at Bank Street Book Store on Wednesday, November 9 at 5:00 p.m. She will explain how vision works and how vision dysfunction presents itself so adults are aware of visual skills that impact students in terms of learning and behavior. This event is for parents and educators to learn about these little-known vision problems that are often misdiagnosed as other conditions.
