Author Event - Peter Aronson

Local author Peter Aronson has begun an exciting series of biographies for middle-grade readers ages 8-14. The Groundbreaker Series tells inspiring stories about extraordinary people who did extraordinary things, but focuses on individuals who are not household names. The newest release is a children's book for our #metoo-movement times: Jeannette Rankin: America's First Congresswoman tells the inspiring story of how a young woman from Montana became the first woman elected to federal office in 1916, a full century before Hillary Clinton ran for president.

Peter, who lives on the Upper West Side with his wife, Emily, and two teenage daughters, is a former newspaper and TV journalist, a former attorney, and now a full-time children's book author. For more info about Peter and his books, please feel free to visit his website at
